20041105:ETA model IDL input routine needed

Forwarding a non-member submission

Bruce,

Depending on the format of the particular ETA model output, we may have
a solution. We have an IDL plugin library based on ESML
(http://esml.itsc.uah.edu) that provides the capability to read any data
into IDL that can be described by an ESML description. ESML currently
has support for binary, ASCII, HDF-5, HDF-EOS, GRIB, netCDF, nexrad
level II. The IDL library is not yet available from the web page, but
if you would like to try this we would be glad to help you get and test
the right components.

Subject: ETA model IDL input routine needed

Hi THREDDS and DAWG...

WE are trying to get some ETA model output into IDL... and can't seem to
find an existing IDL routine. Does anyone know of such a routine out
there?

We are working on a THREDDS viewer for these data.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

cheers

bruce caron
