The above indicates that a system-dependent C macro wasn't set in the
CPPFLAGS environment variable before the configure script was executed.
The C macro tells the C compiler what Fortran-calling-C conventions to
use. I could not tell from your "make.log" file what your system was,
so I cannot tell you what macro to set. I suggest that you look at the
examples in the file INSTALL and carefully follow the instructions near
the end of that file.
