OK.  Try this:

    $ echo '#include 
"///usr/lib/gcc-lib/ia64-redhat-linux/3.2.3/include/limits.h"' >conftest.c
    $ echo 'int int_max = INT_MAX;' >>conftest.c
    $ icc -c conftest.c
