The Atmospheric Science Group in the Department of
Geosciences at Texas Tech University seeks applications for
a full time, non-tenure-track Research Assistant Professor
within the Mesoscale Modeling research group. The successful
applicant will broadly work in the areas of probabilistic
numerical weather prediction and ensemble data assimilation,
with a focus on transitioning state-of-the-art forecasting
products into the operational Texas Tech Ensemble Prediction
System (TTEPS). Evaluation of candidates will begin February
1, 2016 and will continue until the position is filled. A
start date as soon as February 2016 is possible. A Ph.D. is

The NOAA National Ocean Service (NOS) Center for
Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS) is
looking to hire a coastal ocean modeler to join its Modeling
Team. This team is responsible for the operation and
maintenance of the NOS Operational Forecast Systems (OFS)
comprising the National Operational Coastal Modeling Program
(NOCMP) as well as the implementation of new or upgraded OFS
into operations within NWS/NCEP's supercomputing
environment.
