Welcome back to AWIPS Tips!
Today’s announcement comes with a bit of unfortunate news. Due to budgetary reasons, NSF Unidata has had to reduce our staff, and because of that, the AWIPS team was impacted. Shay Carter will no longer be a part of our team starting the end of next week, which leaves Tiffany Meyer as the only person fully supporting AWIPS at NSF Unidata. Shay has enjoyed working here at NSF Unidata and especially enjoyed interacting with our community and users.
The remaining AWIPS team will need to prioritize the focus for the AWIPS project, so our bi-weekly blog series, AWIPS Tips, will no longer be released every other week. We will still try to release blogs as time permits, and for critical announcements (like new software releases).
We hope you have enjoyed our blog series over the past three years, and please continue to refer to existing posts when applicable. If you have any pressing questions or topics that you think would make a good blog, please still feel free to email our support team and suggest them.
