Don Murray of the University of Colorado at Boulder's Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) has provided an IDV bundle depicting the May 20, 2013 storm in central Oklahoma. The bundle combines satellite and radar imagery centered on Moore, OK, where a massive tornado caused extensive damage.
The IDV bundle includes data covering the period between 1:00 and 5:30pm Central Daylight time, and is available from Unidata's RAMADDA server.
To use the bundle:
- Download the zidv bundle here. (The bundle is approximately 46 Mbytes.)
- Launch the IDV.
- Choose Open from the File menu and select the downloaded zidv file.
If you do not have the IDV installed, you can run it using the Java Web Start mechanism. See the IDV home page for details.
