NOAA is searching for an IT Specialist to work at the National Weather Service (NWS), National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), Central Operations (CO) in College Park, MD.
The IT Specialist (INFOSEC):
- Serves as senior IT Specialist and Federal Team Lead for National Center for Environmental Prediction’s (NCEP) and NOAA’s Computer Incident Response Team (N-CIRT).
- Reviews NCEP’s policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA), National Institute for Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and NCEP policies.
- Develops and manages IT security solutions for vulnerability scanning and reporting, patching, intrusion detection and prevention management and monitoring, malware protection monitoring, and the integrated software development security lifecycle framework.
