MetPy 1.6.2 Released

MetPy

MetPy 1.6.2 has been released:

  • Performance improvements for GEMPAK data reader
  • Made coordinate detection more robust to work around issues with ERA5
  • Added support for 'dBz' as an identified unit

MetPy packages are available for Conda on the conda-forge channel and for pip from the Python Package Index. They can be installed with:

pip install metpy==1.6.2
or
conda install -c conda-forge metpy=1.6.2
