A new stable release of the THREDDS Data Server (TDS), version 4.3.14, is now available on the THREDDS Data Server page. We recommend that you upgrade to the current stable version as soon as possible in all cases.
Note: The variables in a GRIB dataset will have different names when viewed in TDS 4.3 than the same variables when viewed in TDS 4.2.
The current version incorporates CDM 4.3.14 and is a complete rewrite of GRIB1 and GRIB2 file handling. Version 4.2 handles some GRIB files incorrectly (there are known problems with table handling for non-NCEP GRIB files, and with time interval coordinates); if you are using TDS or CDM to read GRIB files, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to version 4.3 and closely examine the output of any files that you really care about. Check parameter names and everything else against the original documentation if possible, especially if there is any local parameter use. Please send us any files you suspect might be incorrectly read by the CDM library.
