We've worked hard to make the Unidata web site more visually appealing and easier to use.
Easier Navigation
We've redesigned the navigation features of our site to make it easier for you to find the information you're looking for. In addition to reorganizing the menus at the top of the site, you'll notice a revamped navigation panel on the left edge of your screen, helping you find related information quickly and easily.
News@Unidata
We're replacing the monthly Unidata Community E-Letter with the News@Unidata weblog. Switching from the newsletter-on-a-webpage format to a blog will give us the opportunity to communicate with you more frequently — and make it easier for you to add your insights to the conversation via blog comments or social media. You'll always see a story from the blog here on the Unidata front page, but click over to News@Unidata to get the full effect.
Check out the Frequently Asked Questions list for more information on the blog, including how to subscribe to various RSS feeds that will be generated from items posted there.
We're Still Working
As often happens with home-improvement projects, working on the big changes to our web site has reminded us of other, smaller projects we want to tackle. We're still working, so don't be surprised if you notice additional changes in the immediate future. And please don't trip over any old sawhorses we may have accidentally left sitting around.
Let Us Know What You Think
We'd love to hear your thoughts on the changes we've made. Join the conversation by commenting on this post, or let us know you've found a problem with the site by e-mailing plaza@unidata.ucar.edu.
How can I get the scale_factor and add_offset values of a grib file?
I have converted the grib file into a nc file and I want to add the attributes scale_factor and add_offest values to the nc file.

Hello Kenneth,
Please send your question by e-mail to support@unidata.ucar.edu -- and include as much information about the data type, file formats, etc. as you can so we have a better chance of understanding your data needs.
