2.0 An Informal Survey

We'll start with an informal survey to find out more about the workshop participants as a sample of the netCDF user community.
  1. Programming languages you use: C, Fortran90/95, Java, C++, Fortran77, Perl, Python, Ruby, Matlab, other?
  2. Tools you use most for netCDF data: ncdump and ncgen, NCO, NCL, PyNGL, IDV, ToolsUI, GMT, ncview, NcBrowse, ArcGIS, other?
  3. Is your primary data observed, remotely sensed, model output, other?
  4. Other scientific data formats you use: HDF-EOS, HDF5, GRIB, BUFR, other?
  5. Question for end-of-day wrap up: what aspects of netCDF do you find most confusing or annoying?
