Re: CONDUIT grids getting later and later again

Steve,
     We do not use the eta215 grids from conduit.
However, we do use both the 1deg and 0.5 deg GFS grids.
We could I suppose adapt our scripts to use the 0.5 deg
data for the first part of the forecast cycle, and the
1deg for the later part of the cycle. This would allow
us to operate without the 0-84h forecast 1deg grids.
     Another alternative, since the 1deg grid seems
to be most widely used, would be to insert it first
at NCEP - when transmission of the 1deg was complete
the 0.5 deg grids could be added to the queue for
transmission. There is some good stuff in those
0.5 degree grids, it would be a shame to loose them.
Can I ask that changes not be made on a Friday afternoon?
