There were some networking problems from Penn State to our ISP Wednesday
and Thursday (yesterday), but they were supposedly fixed around 11:30AM
yesterday morning. Our feed from motherlode was over an hour behind
yesterday, but it looked like most other Unidata sites were behind
similarly yesterday, so I figured that was a problem with data getting out
of NCAR that someone else was fixing. I checked current latencies, and
they look pretty good. I failed over to dusk.ssec.wisc.edu yesterday to
see if yesterday's latencies would improve, but didn't... I'm still on
dusk today but will probably fail back to motherlode before I leave today.

The students are all back here, and perhaps at many other schools as well.
Someone was speculating that the networks may be taking a hit with the
return of Fall semester's everywhere.

I just pinged your nimbus machine and got 23% loss. I'll check with our
network people and see if they can determine where the problem is and how
to fix it.
