Tom,

You need to do command:

% ps -eaf | grep  ldm

and kill all ldm processes, because you have a ldm process running from
another ldm invocation.  Then do:

% rpcinfo -p 

Make sure port 388 is released, ie not in the list. Then do:

% ldmadmin clean

This appears that the ldmd.conf file in not configured correctly.
Configure the pqact entry according to the pqact man page.

All the entries at the top will need to be configured, this is the result
from pqbinstats looking for the log files. Also look at the man page.
