Re: LDM

Hiya,

There were a bunch of permission problem, ie files owned by root. The LDM
should be run by user ldm, not root. I changed all the dirs/files under
user ldm to be owned by ldm. Always use user ldm to stop/start the ldm and
any other ldmadmin commands.

Another modification was to the ldmd.conf file, there was no request line
to get the data from redwood. So no data. You need to contact David Knight
and tell him to change the allow line for your machine, ie

allow UNIDATA|FSL2 halo.cumulus.sci.ccny.cuny.edu

You can see the data coming in by:

% ldmadmin watch

At this time you are only receiving MCIDAS and FSL2 data. Since none of
your pqact.conf entires match that data, nothing is being stored on your
machine. You should look at the McIDAS and GEMPAK web pages to find out
what entries you need to put in your etc/pqact.conf file. There are
instructions in the top of the pqacat.conf file to make sure the entries
are correct. REad carefully.

RObb...
