Hi Mark,

Although we have not specifically tested it, we expect that the binary for
Solaris 7 will work for you.  I would definately give it a try.

You can indeed build the source using gcc if you want to.   We recommend
using the native compilers where possible, but if that's not available then
we do expect that gcc will work.
