Hi Jimmy,

Is your portmapper running?  

Are you aware of our database of on line support at
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/glimpsedocs/ghldm.html.
For example, when there, if you query on the string "register service",
a question and answer very similar to yours can be found at
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/mfs/65/3034?52#mfs.  It's
particularly useful for phrases that appear in the log such as those you
included above.

Please let me know what you find out.
