Re: 20011008: IDD latencies at PSU (cont.)



Art,

For your comparisons with NMC2 latencies, the NMC2 feed was substantially
improved last night:

The behavior returned to the pattern we saw before Wednesday of last week.
The slow down appeared to be with a Solaris system monitoring program "esd" 
which was turneed off late yesterday afternoon, coincident with the
improvement in the data latencies.

FYI, Illinois is a top tier site along with motherlode and U. Wisconsin
for the NMC2 data feed. If you are able to get the CONDUIT data reliably from
motherlode, then we can keep it that way.
