OPeNDAP and Unidata to Integrate Scientific Data Servers

In partnership with OPeNDAP Inc., Unidata has received a three-year award grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in order to better align, link and eventually integrate software that the two organizations independently offer as extensible, open-source infrastructure for scientific data exchange.

The OPeNDAP-Unidata Linked Servers project (OPULS) aims to adapt OPeNDAP and Unidata server systems for greater conformance, linkage, and eventual integration, along the way demonstrating how one group can capitalize on advances achieved by the other.

The Carbon Crisis in 90 Seconds

Dr. Peter Griffith is a scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, the coordinator of the North American Carbon Program, and NASA's representative to Unidata's Policy committee. He created the educational video The Carbon Crisis in 90 Seconds, and shared it with Unidata committee members and staff at this week's joint User's and Policy committee meeting.

LDM 6.10.1

Version 6.10.1 of the LDM package was released on 2011-10-24. This version is recommended for all users and  can be downloaded at https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/ldm/.
