19990423: MISSING MODELS (fwd)

Devin,

I ran a notifyme to typhoon for the HRS feed and see that you have the RUC
model in your queue 
eg: notifyme -v -l - -o 3600 -h typhoon.atmos.ucla.edu
...

This might explain missing ETA from NCEP: NOUS42 KWNO 231557

231545Z...GOOD NEWS FOR THE AVN...NOT SO GOOD FOR ETA AND NGM. 12Z AVN
ANALYSIS HAS FINISHED AND THE AVN FCST CYCLE HAS BEGUN RIGHT ON TIME.  
BOTH THE ETA AND NGM SUFFERED JOB FAILURES HOWEVER FURTHER DELAYING THE
RUNS...THE NGM ANALYSIS CYCLE IS NOW BEING RESTARTED BUT PROGRAMMERS ARE
STILL LOOKING INTO THE PROBLEM WITH THE 80KM 12Z ETA ON CRAY 5...IF
PROBLEMS PERSIST A REGULAR 32KM ETA MAY HAVE TO BE RERUN ON CRAY 3 AFTER
THE AVN FINISHES...WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

The report seems to state that they have been having trouble with
AVN/NGM/ETA recently.
