Illinois suburbs and a severe thunderstorm (including an F5 tornado) event on 18 July 1996 over Eastern Wisconsin. Case 006 is now available for delivery on 8mm tape and can be ordered through theCODIAC WWW system.
The case includes radar data from Chicago, IL, Green Bay, WI, and Sullivan, WI as well as NOWRAD composites from WSI. The case study also includes GOES-8 satellite imagery, surface and upper airobservations, and the traditional NCEP model data.
TO ORDER AN 8MM TAPE An 8mm tape of the COMET case study 006 can be ordered through the CODIAC WWW system. Once each of the component datasets that make up COMET case 005 is loaded into CODIAC, the datasets that compose COMET case 006 will be loaded into CODIAC. Loading the datasets into CODIAC allows for searching, browsing, and ordering subsets of the datasets for delivery via FTP. E-MAIL LIST An e-mail list, casestudies@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, is available for people interested in case study data. The case studies list has been created to enable the community of case study users to communicate with each other about the case studies. New capabilities and new case studies will be announced on the Case Studies mail list.
