Hi.As part of the NOAA CDR project, we are planning to generate datasets composed of raw data from the NPP satellite. We are referring to these datasets as Climate Raw Data Records (C-RDR). The data will be fully unpacked and decompressed, but all values will be in their raw form (i.e., not converted to engineering or scientific units). We are currently designing the structure of the C-RDR for the VIIRS sensor. The C-RDR files will be in netCDF-4 format. I have included an XML (NCML) file that describes the draft structure. We would love to get any advice/feedback regarding this draft.Grace and peace, Jim Biard
Hi Jim:I am willing to give feedback. When you can generate a real file, or a real NcML file (enclosed is missing attribute values so wont parse) I may be able to give you feedback.
Also, 1. using a .ncml extention has become a useful convention. 2.The full schemaLocation element should bexsi:schemaLocation="http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/namespaces/netcdf/ncml-2.2 http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/schemas/netcdf/ncml-2.2.xsd
which will allow schema validation. John
