RE: New decoders release

NOTE: The decoders mailing list is no longer active. The list archives are made available for historical reasons.

Brian,

It probably didn't give any error messages, huh?

I just tried the binary gribtonc that I sent you on a avn-q.wmo (raw)
file, it worked just fine. I think you might have a point about the other
packages involved. Did you go back and recompile them again setting CC,
ie

% setenv CC gcc

Remember you need to do a "make distclean" for all the packages,
configure, make, etc

Maybe you should try to run it in the debugger gdb.

Also, have you tried to run gribtonc on some other models? Is you machine
a standard linux setup?

Robb,

Thanks! I picked it up and ran gribtonc again and I still had a core dump?
Maybe the udunits, netcdf, and netcdf-perl installations didn't go as well
as I thought? I don't really know though because like I said, I picked up
the binary distributions of udunits and netcdf ... the only one I had to
build was netcdf-perl because there's no netcdf-perl binary. Well, thanks
for all your help Robb, sorry things aren't working out for me?

Brian

Brian,

The binary tar package is located at:

% ftp www.unidata.ucar.edu as anonymous
% cd pub/binary/linux_2.4.18-i686
% get decoders-2.4.4.binary.tar
