I just downloaded the above file from the website to my home Fedora
Core 4 Linux machine and checked to see if it is in DOS format using
'vi'; it isn't (also, it is timestamped Nov 17, 2005).  I am not sure
how the format of the file on your system could have gotten changed.  I
hate mysteries like this :-)

Hopefully you ran 'ldmadmin pqactcheck -p ~ldm/etc/pqact.gempak' to do
a gross check on new entries syntax.
