Fall AGU Invitation

Hi Brian,

Following up on our conversation, where you have indicated interest in
presenting and invited paper at Fall AGU. This is a 'formal' invitation to
present such an an invited talk at the Fall AGU meeting in the
Standards-based Interoperability session. The session world benefit greatly
from a report summarizing the results and experience from the recent ESIP
Web Services chaining exercises. George Percivall is giving another invited
talk on the interoperability role/activities of OGC. There will also be 1-2
European invited talks.

The deadline for registering invited authors is tomorrow.

The session conveners Stafano Nativi ((CNR/UFlrorence), Linda Miller
(Unidata) and myself are looking froward for your favorable response (by
tomorrow :) by confirming your participation. Titles and abstracts are not
due until much-much later, Sep 7.

By a cc to lists (Infusion, GSN, GALEON) others are cordially invited to
submit contributions to the AGU Interoperability session.

This is to draw your attention to a session: Standards-Based
Interoperability Among Tools and Data Services in the Earth Sciences (IN08)

be held at the Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union, San Francisco
11-15 December 2006, sponsored by the recently formed section on Earth and
Space Science Informatics. The new Informatics section recognizes the
importance of information management to earth sciences. Participation in the
section offers the opportunity to influence it's agenda. ESIP members
engaged in data and service interoperability are encouraged to submitt
abstracts for the session.The deadline for abstract submission is 7th
