This is one of the agu sessions I thought might be of interest. -- Ben ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: David Arctur <darctur@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 3:45 PM Subject: [ESIP-all] AGU Informatics Session IN16: Climate Information Integration - abstracts due Sept 2 To: OGC TC <tc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, ESIP Federation < esip-all@xxxxxxxxxx> One more friendly reminder for your abstracts to this session, which are due by September 2: IN16: The current climate debate is highlighting the importance of free, open, authoritative sources of quality climate data that are available for peer review and for collaborative purposes. It is increasingly important to allow disparate organizations around the world to share climate data in an open manner, and to perform dynamic processing of climate data via web based services, using common “community agreed” standards without having to change their internal systems or the language that they use internally to describe their data. We also wish to identify archives of quality climate data, and make these available for interdisciplinary work. Focus will be on applications and opportunities for enhancing existing data exchange standards for use with climate data. URL for abstract submission is http://www.agu.org/meetings/fm10/program/abstract_submissions.php Thanks and best regards! ============================================================ David K Arctur Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) darctur@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx skype darctur http://www.opengeospatial.org mobile +1.512.771.1434, office +1.512.402.1743, fax +1.815.642.8336 _______________________________________________ ESIP-all mailing list ESIP-all@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.lists.esipfed.org/mailman/listinfo/esip-all
