Thanks Michael, and James and Devin.
I’ll peruse the tables. I see that I was running the 7.2.2 decoders but
referencing the 7.0 tables. Hmm…
Will hide and watch the 18z run come in.

Hi Neil,
On the GEMPAK GitHub page, Michael James includes a pqact.conf for getting
various numerical model output(starting line 416 for NAVGEM).

What’s the key to ingesting navgem?
I’m using

PIPE /unidata/ldm/decoders/dcgrib2 -d
data/gempak/logs/dcgrib2_navgem.log

but getting screwy plotting results, and ingest log file entries like
160229/1637[DCGRIB 1] Grid navigation 56 incompatible with file
data/gempak/model/fnmoc/navgem/2016022918f045_navgem.gem
This is GEMPAK7 and ldm 6.12.5
