I do not know what LES data is. However, since you do not want a map
background, you might try the "Omni Control" display option. You
might have to select the mappings, but the option is there to label
the 3 axes. Map projections (and their coordinates) are not available
in the Omni control display, but perhaps you do not need that for what
you are trying to accomplish.
