Hi Rich...
You probably don't need any satellite image data with resolutions
greater than what GOES provides -- 1km for visible and 4km for the IR
channels. These should all be available through the IDV...in the
image chooser, pick the adde.ucar.edu server, and RTIMAGES for the
dataset....and have fun...
