Hi Sean/Don, As it turns out, the Merge Timestep Sequences worked! (See attachment). However, as Don pointed out, it requires each timestep to be in a separate file, opened one by one, allowing only one field/display that has to be decided in advance. Perhaps if there was a way for the mergeTimeSequences function to somehow be incorporated in the Data Choosers/Data Source Type menu it would be more practical. Sean - unfortunately the files I currently have are huge - 406Mb per timestep - so probably impractical to upload at this time. But if I can obtain smaller samples I'll let you know.
