The McV nightly/CI builds have been compiling/targeting/shipping Java 8 since
the middle of May, and AFAIK there haven’t been any surprises. My own IDV and
VisAD builds with Java 8 have also been working as expected.
It’s nice to finally get to use the lambda and method reference stuff!
