Is the ldmadmin stop slowness a bug or a feature? It seems that
with version 6, shutting down the LDM takes longer because it
is making sure all rpc.ldmd processes have exited, thus avoiding
problems when the LDM is restarted--> a good thing!
Correct me if I'm wrong . . .
