Hmmm. I hope that isn't the case. I've got a lot of CentOS machines. I
guess it could be a kernel or driver trojan, which would really damage
Linux' reputation, even if it were limited to CentOS (and/or RedHat).

I had a doctors appt today, got home late
was looking things over and noticed nothing had been
written to feeds.michiganwxsystem.net's disk since 16:50z
all files were in RO (read only) mode..
run smartctl .. nada
run fsck .. aye karumba error after error it be fixing ...
so now time to go log diving

Subject: [ldm-users] sasquatch.tamu.edu is down
Sasquatch.tamu.edu suffered a RAID casualty this afternoon. I will see
if I can get a new disk in there and get the RAID rebuilding over the
weekend.
All LDM users pointing to sasquatch should redirect to
bigbird.tamu.edu if it's not already in your ldmd.conf. If you are
getting refusals from bigbird, e-mail me. I'll be watching for e-mail
over the weekend and will attempt to accommodate everyone.
