I've found that JFS (on Linux that is) works wonders, as well. Fast,
and quite reliable. That said, you should be able to get >40MB/s
(bytes, not bits) streaming on a single semi-recent 7200 RPM SATA disk
with ext3, which I'm sure is fast enough for an ldm feed..
