Any downside to putting bigbird in your /etc/hosts?

Jeff, maybe look at these rtstats pages:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/rtstats/iddstats_vol_nc?HDS+bigbird.tamu.edu
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/rtstats/iddstats_vol_nc?HDS+sasquatch.tamu.edu
Gerry? bigbird shows a decline in HDS volume on the 13th during Jeff's
mystery.
Jeff? do you have 'tamu.edu' or just 'bigbird.tamu.edu' ? Consider
adding 'sasquatch.tamu.edu' if you don't already have it.
Is this really a problem resolving to bigbird.tamu.edu ?

Jeff, it also looks strange that you have hourly files until the 13th
12:00 where there is a break until the 13th 20:00. So, seven or eight
files didn't get filed? That's what it looks like to me. -Donna
Donna, Gilbert
didn't notice that at first, when I did see that I knew exactly what was
happening..
every blue moon, got me why, and I thought this was fixed so it was
filed as so, but this one
server will lose its ability to resolve xxxxx.tamu.edu, like I said ..
mystery to me HDS is the only feed I don't have a backup upstream host for
looks like its time to see what commercial resolvers are going to cost
me ..
thanks again..

No issues here. Do an ldmadmin watch and see if everything is on time.
