[ldm-users] 20120427: Unidata system downtime scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, April 28

All,

Second/final notice:

Planned maintenance to some of UCAR's computer room infrastructure will
require several of Unidata's network-based services to be unavailable
tomorrow, Saturday, April 28th 2012. Maintenance will occur between 6:00
am and 3:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time (12 to 21 UTC). Network downtime
for the affected systems is anticipated to be approximately two hours
starting at 6:00 am, but since the computer room's uninterruptible
power supplies will also be serviced, a power outage any time during
the maintenance period could cause additional downtime.

Unidata Program Center staff are working to keep as many Unidata services
provided by hardware on the UCAR network (e.g., Internet Data Distribution
(IDD) relay, THREDDS, RAMADDA and ADDE serving of data on the Motherlode
demonstration data server, etc.) accessible during the outage. We are
hoping that the UPC's IDD nodes, as well as the Motherlode server,
will remain functional throughout the upgrade, but there is a chance
that they will be inaccessible during the maintenance.

Services that may be unavailable include UCAR NOAAPort ingest, GOES-East,
GOES-West, and GOES-South ingest, the Unidata web site, FTP server,
email, and mailing lists.

Please send any/all questions/comments to Unidata Datastream Support
<support-datastream@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>.

Thank you for your patience.

Cheers,

Unidata User Support
