Thanks Brendon, that image looks great! We were thinking about trying out
an IDV solution if the mollewide ldm feed was shut-off for good. A few
months back we had also tried stitching together the FDISK AREA files on
ftp://satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov/ using GDAL...but kept getting hung up on
GOES E/W of all satellites, go figure.

We noticed this too, wasn't sure if it was just us or not...
We've been working on using IDV to generate imagery similar to the mollewide
maps in real time. We run the attached bundle at regular intervals and do
some post processing to generate the attached image (and more!)
