Joe,
The last I heard, the timing on shutting down the hardware wasn't locked in
but the notice was a sort of "could happen at any time". I'll personally
admit to being a little bummed, since I'd originated that service at A&M
and felt it was one worth maintaining, but Donna did a good job keeping
things running after I left. Current management doesn't believe it's
aligned with their missions, and there was no income stream to maintain
personnel or hardware.
