I was just told this morning that our network connection to the world will be 
migrated to new firewall hardware this Thursday evening, September 26, just 
after 10PM CDT (03 UTC Sept 27)

All network connections will be disconnected when this happens, and will be 
down for ideally 1-3 minutes.  I suspect the ldm will automatically try to 
reconnect after the network comes back up, but just in case not, I wanted to 
let anyone feeding from idd.aos.wisc.edu know that this is coming. I suspect, 
but am not 100% sure that this will affect connections to *.ssec.wisc.edu as 
well.
