Daniel, Some more information about which versions of the libraries you used whould be useful but it doesnt look like a specific problem with AMD64 system. I would download hdf5-1.8.0 and a recent daily snapshot of netcdf4. It looks like you tried to use netcdf4-beta1 which is now out of date. The daily snapshot is available from here: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/netcdf/netcdf-snapshot/ All the best, Tom On Wed, 2008-03-26 at 13:59 +0100, Daniel Argüeso wrote: > I'm trying to instal netcdf4 in a amd64 system with linux ubuntu7.10 > and after configuring: > ./configure --with-hdf5=/usr/local --prefix=/usr/local --disable-f90 > --enable-netcdf-4 > this way > > I encountered the error I show below when making install > > libtool: compile: cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I../fortran > -I../libsrc4 -I../libsrc -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/local/include > -DHAVE_NETCDF -MT nc4file.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/nc4file.Tpo -c nc4file.c -o > nc4file.o > nc4file.c: In function 'nc4_create_file': > nc4file.c:162: error: too few arguments to function 'H5Gopen2' > nc4file.c: In function 'nc_create_file': > nc4file.c:193: warning: passing argument 1 of 'H5Eset_auto2' makes integer > from pointer without a cast > nc4file.c:193: error: too few arguments to function 'H5Eset_auto2' > nc4file.c: In function 'nc_open_file': > nc4file.c:403: warning: passing argument 1 of 'H5Eset_auto2' makes integer > from pointer without a cast > nc4file.c:403: error: too few arguments to function 'H5Eset_auto2' > make[2]: *** [nc4file.lo] Error 1 > make[2]: se sale del directorio > `/home/daniel/Desktop/netcdf-4.0-beta1/libsrc4' > make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make[1]: se sale del directorio `/home/daniel/Desktop/netcdf-4.0-beta1' > make: *** [all] Error 2 > > > > > > > Could anyone hint me about the cause? > Thanks a lot!! > > _______________________________________________ > netcdf-hdf mailing list > netcdf-hdf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > For list information or to unsubscribe, visit: > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/ --- Thomas Green Unified Model System Analyst Met Office FitzRoy Road Exeter EX1 3PB United Kingdom Tel: +44 (0)1392 884258 Fax: +44 (0)1392 885681 E-mail: thomas.green@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.metoffice.gov.uk
