Hi Jeroen:
This sounds like good news, thanks for testing.
Id like to see a sample file, attachments are ok.
We dont use the colormap in any way, but if the number being read out of it are
wrong, id like to fix that.
thanks again,
John

Hello,
We have been using the NetCDF library to read HDF5 files for about 6 months. Our
image-supplier is about to increase the resolution of the images we’ll receive,
but unfortunately the stable NetCDF library crashes on those files.
In response to this message:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/archives/netcdf-java/2007-November/000477.html , I just wanted to let you know that NetCDF version 4.0 opens the new files without a problem. Comparing the results of NetCDF to HDFView, I only noticed the colormap being read differently.
Please let me know if you’re interested in an example file (can I send
attachments to this list?)
