The following 2 methods and one property are missing from the class NetcdfFile
in version 4.3.21 as acquired via your maven repository.
Methods:
isUnlocked()
escapeName(java.lang.String vname)
Property:
reserved
They appear in the JavaDoc here:

I had a look at the source here:
https://github.com/Unidata/thredds/blob/master/cdm/src/main/java/ucar/nc2/NetcdfFile.java
and it seems they have been commented out.
