Yet another vote for a DAILY DIGESTIFIED MESSAGE.
I am often out of the country for weeks or months at a time,
and of all the mail lists and newsgroups I read, I find the
Khoros digest which I receive as a daily email message
to be the easiest to keep up with.
Furthermore, I don't have FTP access, so public archives are
of limited utility to me.

Yet another "Yet another vote for a DAILY DIGESTIFIED MESSAGE."
A digestified approach would have only a small effect on the immediacy of the
newsgroup while reducing the (apparent) volume of traffic. It would have no
compatibility side-effects on current users' styles.
