Howdy all! The netCDF C/Fortran/C++ libraries and utilities have been ported to many different platforms, and are tested daily on many of them at Unidata. But porting them to new platforms is not always easy. Although we would like to help, it is difficult to support platforms which are unavailable for testing at Unidata. To help users port to new platforms, we have started the netcdf-porting mailing list. Please subscribe to the list if you are porting netCDF to a new platform, or have already succeeded in doing so. You can sign up for the new mailing list from the Unidata mailing list page: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/support/mailinglist/mailing-list-form.html The netCDF Java interface is platform independent, and doesn't suffer from these problems.
