Regarding Vincent Thierion's posting on January 22 requesting help with
a netCDF dataset using a Lambert Conformal Conic grid, we have
determined
that the problem was in the grid's values for the false_easting and
false_northing, which were off by a factor of 1000. Because Panoply
implements the pertinent projection calculations rather than do a simple
x-y plot, the data were consequently being shifted all the way off the
map.
