HDF Build [KyngChaos Wiki].pdf
Description: Adobe PDF document
Hi Harry,Guangshan Chen sent me this document for getting HDF 4.x to build. The notes are for Leopard and Tiger, but they seemed to work for me under Snow Leopard. I haven't done full testing on this, yet, so buyer beware!

Hi AllSorted. Roy M, Dennis H and Sean M all helped, but it was Ted Mansell who nailed it - I was too confident in the gfortran (I used the MacResearch.org installer). For reference, this is *the* Snow Leopard gfortran, and it works with the 64-bit kernel (so far!):http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hpc/gfortran-snwleo-intel- bin.tar.gz?download(link from http://hpc.sourceforge.net) Cheers!
