Ah thanks . I just followed what they had reported in the Issue, and then
tried downloading it and opening it.
Could netCDF4 and/or xarray open the file? I notice that one of the arrays are
bytes. Perhaps spicy.netcdf can't deal with bytes. A simple test would be to
build using ncgen and a cdl file to create a netcdf file which only has a byte
array and see if spicy can open it.
