SUBJECT:    DELAY IN IMPLEMENTATION OF FMH-1 AND WSOH #7

(THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED BY RICH THOMAS OF THE
OFFICE OF SYSTEMS OPERATIONS OBSERVING SYSTEMS BRANCH.)

OFCM Federal Meteorological Handbook No. 1 and Weather Service
Observing Handbook #7 (Parts I, II, III, IV) WILL NOT be
implemented on September 1, 1994, as had been planned.  The new
date for implementation of these handbooks is October 1, 1994.

We will keep you informed if there are other changes in the
implementation schedule.
