DOPPLER WEATHER SURVILLANCE RADARS /WSR-88D/ HAVE BEEN COMMISSIONED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE...USERS NOTIFIED AND SERVICE CONFIRMED...THE MAJOR CRITERIA FOR DECOMMISSIONING THE WSR-74C AT ROCHESTER...MINNESOTA /RADAR IDENTIFIER - RST/ HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. THEREFORE THE ROCHESTER WSR-74C RADAR WILL BE DECOMMISSIONED OFFICALLY ON THURSDAY...JANUARY 9...1997.
