REMINDER:


On Nov 17,1998,the GOES-8 imager scan mirror will be positioned to avoid
the peak activity of the  Leonids meteor storm. the impact will be no
imaging 1744Z to 2114Z utc on this day. the Sounder will not be
affected. GOES-10 will provide full disk scan ops. 1730Z to 2129Z
utc.GOES-8  routine imager scan ops. will resume at 2115Z utc.  for
